Except as otherwise provided in individual NRAs, all shipments
governed by this Tariff moving through the marine terminal gates by
road in the ports of Long Beach or Los Angeles, California are SBJ to
the Traffic Mitigation Fees (TMF) assessed by Pierpass named below,
which charge shall be in addition to all other applicable charges:
	
	   
1. LCL Rate Shipments:
    NONE IN EFFECT
	   
2. FCL Rated Shipments (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW):

   EXCEPTIONS:
	      
    i.  Traffic Mitigation Fees will not be assessed for empty
        containers or chassis, domestic containers or trans-
        shipments to other ports; and
	      
   ii.  Traffic Mitigation Fees will not be assessed for intermodal
        containers entering via the Alameda Corridor for shipment 
        where the Alameda Corridor Surcharge has been assessed.
	      
   iii. Traffic Mitigation Fees will not be assessed for shipments
        when Carrier is ONLY responsible to arrange for container
        delivery of behalf of a BOC who independently pays the TMF
        directly to PierPASS.
